NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP), today announced the appointment of James Kennedy-Moffat as Country Manager for New Zealand, effective immediately.
In this role, Kennedy-Moffat will be responsible for all aspects of NetApp’s New Zealand sales strategy, driving business growth, and strengthening all of its offerings for the local market.
This move echoes NetApp’s increased focus and investment in New Zealand. Kennedy-Moffat has been with NetApp since 2008, most recently as New Zealand Sales Director. His appointment comes on the back of some excellent recent results in the market.
“Since joining NetApp eight years ago, James has been crucial in driving growth in New Zealand,” said Steve Manley, Vice President for NetApp ANZ. “We had our biggest ever currency-adjusted sales year in FY16 despite a time of constrained IT spending and under James’ leadership we anticipate this momentum to continue.”
Kennedy-Moffat is eager to help local businesses deal with the challenges their currently facing, “There are two key challenges facing our customers’ businesses – the need for business agility and the influence of cloud. Only NetApp’s data fabric approach enables them to move data easily between locations (cloud or on-site) and give flexibility, speed and cost certainty. I’m excited to continue educating existing and new customers on this in New Zealand.”
Kennedy-Moffat brings over a decade of experience to the role, with significant experience driving sales and market share growth in the New Zealand market. Kennedy-Moffat holds a Master’s of Science degree with first class honours from Massey University.
