New appointment release: Mortgage Express

In a recent appointment by Mortgage Express New Zealand, Wayne Byron joins the team of mortgage advisers based in Auckland.

Mr Byron’s experience in the financial services industry spans well over 30 years, predominantly in a retail banking environment. He has extensive experience in mortgage lending, business lending and personal lending, and has worked in asset finance and mortgage insurance underwriting.  

“I have built up a wealth of knowledge in the finance industry over the years which enables me to identify products which best suit my client’s financial needs,” says Mr Byron. “All lenders differ in certain respects and being independent from the lender means that there is no restriction to any one lender and the best possible products on offer can be accessed. The benefit of choice results in a wider range of available products and may also lead to substantial savings over the term of the loan.”

“I have many years’ experience in risk assessment including being a Credit Manager for banks, and understand how lending is assessed and approved from a lender’s perspective. This allows me to identify areas of risk and puts me in a good position to provide solutions to mitigate the risks,” says Mr Byron. 

“Wayne’s knowledge and experience in the lending and mortgage industries enable him to find lending products and solutions to fit his client’s financial needs and circumstances,” says Sarah Johnston, General Manager of Mortgage Express.

Mr Byron will be providing advice on home and investment property purchases, construction loans, increased lending for renovations, re-finances of existing lending, fixing of interest rates, variations to loan terms or any other services required relating to residential property lending.
