Meat processor Affco has appointed Hamish Simson as chief executive at its annual meeting this afternoon.
Current chief executive Stuart Weston has resigned.
Mr Simson is an executive director of the company.
Chairman Sam Lewis said Mr Weston’s tenure will finish on February 12 when Mr Simson will take the reins.
Affco's share price rose 1c to 37c on the news (NZX: AFF).
