Listed health and wellness specialist New Image Group has bought a controlling 50.01% stake in Bay of Islands cosmetics company Living Nature.
Kerikeri-based Living Nature produces a range natural skin care products and exports to Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and parts of Asia.
New Image executive chairman Graeme Clegg told participants at the company’s annual meeting in Auckland today that Living Nature would add $6 million to its annual revenue.
“It completes our ‘inner health-outer beauty story’,” Mr Clegg says. “A key feature of our strategic direction, developed in the past 12 months together with NZTE’s “Better By Design”, is coming to fruition.”
Living Nature has a modern, highly specialised manufacturing plant for natural cosmetics, which has international certification from BDIH in Germany.
New Image shares were trading on the NZX at 30c this afternoon with no initial movement on the news (NZX:NEW).
