NSP take exciting steps into the future of Security with CyberHawk & intelligent positioning

NSP, with their strong foundations, knowledge leadership, and sound experience within the security space, have been priming for an even stronger technical presence in the market.

The company has made a couple key and significant appointments in recent months, brought more clarity and structure to their brand, and continue to drive even more focus on customer relationship, modern security innovation, and dynamic solutions.

“NSP is excited to have secured Joerg Buss as Chief Information Security Officer in a role that will see him lead our security team and further enhance our security offering, CyberHawk”, explains Brent Larsen, NSP managing director.

Joerg, who is one of NZ leading security specialists, will begin his role at NSP on 24th July, bringing a wealth of expertise specifically tailored to the NZ mid-market. Within the information security space, his wealth of knowledge was perfected during his time helping develop the BSI framework and certification (ISO27K) for the German government, then working for 10 years helping German businesses (financial institutes, telco, electricity companies) apply the standard to their environments.

Joerg has a genuine passion for information security, and his desire to grow the awareness throughout NZ is heavily in alignment with NSP values. Where his clout will be extremely valuable is via; customer engagement, providing independent advice or acting as a Virtual CISO, helping customers develop security strategies, governance, policy and information risk mitigation.

John Muir, who has been with NSP for over 5 years as Senior Solution Architect, has been appointed to the position of Technical Director. John’s wealth of over 20 years’ ICT experience includes; business analysis, programming, engineering, consultancy to solution architecture, design and delivery. His passion for technology is evident by his ability to engage at all levels with customers and act as a technical resource for guidance and advice.

Notable global experience includes; defence, government, power and medical sectors, and more locally, expertise with helping SMEs develop ICT roadmaps to fast track business outcomes.

John’s ability to align IT objectives to support business strategy and goals, and offer support throughout the entire lifecycle of a project makes him an important asset to the NSP team.

NSP continue to innovate, exploring new frontiers within the security space through their dynamism and nous for taking real everyday security threats and delivering tangible solutions that balance risk, improve resilience, offer greater visibility and gain more control over what really matters.
