New aviation season provides boost for international gateways
Airlines have added capacity, new routes for the peak summer travel period.
International seat capacity at Auckland Airport was still 8% below pre-Covid levels for the northern winter aviation season.
The international aviation northern winter season has kicked off with a long-awaited boosts for New Zealand's two main gateways. Though Iata, the International Air Transport Association, uses northern hemisphere nomenclature, summer in the southern hemisphere means a peak travel period.
