NZ dollar trades at new post-float high
The New Zealand dollar rose to a new post-float high above 82USc today.
The New Zealand dollar rose to a new post-float high above 82USc today.
The NZ dollar traded to US82.16c, according to Reuters data. This is the highest level it has traded at since it was floated in March 1985.
The recent boost to the kiwi has come amid speculation that China's sovereign wealth fund, the Chinese Investment Corporation (CIC), is planning to invest heavily in this country, including in government bonds.
