New Zealand Experience Ltd, operator of Rainbow's End theme park, said visitor numbers rose 17,000, or 7 percent, to 273,500 in the year to June 30 as a result of the opening of the new Invader ride in December.
The company reports its result for the year to June 30, 2010 on August 19 but it said today that the higher visitor numbers, admission price changes and a bigger spend by visitors will boost revenue by 10 percent to $9.7 million in the year.
The after-tax profit from normal operations will be about $1.1m, which is above the previously indicated $1m.
The company also said that it will have a deferred tax liability of $538,000 due to changed tax rules in the Government's budget.
