Barely a month after news emerged that ACP had poached NZ Magazines’ top two Woman’s Weekly staffers, Sido Kitchin and Fiona Fraser, the company has also lost another key editorial maven.
Simply You editor Natalie Bridges (right) is leaving for the sunny shores of PR.
The impeccably glam editor has been nabbed by Mount Maunganui-based PR company Village PR and will make the transition in late February 2011.
Ms Bridges, who is married to Tauranga MP Simon Bridges, will head up the company’s lifestyle division, across its food, beverage, fashion and beauty clients.
Village PR co-owner Tim Paton-Tapsell said he’s thrilled to have her join the team.
“She has a proven track record of excellence in her field of journalism, sales and leadership, which is a perfect combination for her new role.”
Village PR is two years old and is in the process of rebranding to Village. It has 10 staff with half of its clients based in Auckland.
Meanwhile, the search goes on for an editor – and a deputy editor – for NZ Woman’s Weekly. A variety of names have been bandied about, with experienced magazine guru Brenda Ward (ex-New Idea, Next, Your Home & Garden and currently acting deputy editor at NZWW) a popular choice to step into the role.
