The New Zealand Superannuation Fund has a 10.11 percent stake in Auckland International Airport Ltd, according to a notice filed to the NZX today.
The notice was among a number of filings by the fund today to reflect the mandating of Milford Asset Management as a manager of some of its investments.
The Superfund had a 9.75 percent holding in its previous filing. Shareholders owning 10 percent of a company can block any move to compulsorily acquire shares in a takeover of a company.
NZ Superfund yesterday would not comment on whether it would take up its rights in a capital raising announced by the airport operator yesterday.
The fund was set up in 2003 to help pay for the future cost of superannuation.
