Green is king in Deloitte’s annual Fast 50 list of New Zealand’s fastest-growing companies.
Earthwise Group nabbed the top spot with growth of nearly 1005%. The Auckland-based manufacturer has been making environmentally friendly household products since 1964.
The annual Deloitte Fast 50 index, announced last night, ranks businesses according to their three-year revenue growth.
GreenButton, a Wellington-based software company, came in at No 2 with 933% growth; Christchurch-based software consultants Intranel was No 3 at 878; and Christchurch’s Griffbuild and Auckland-based First In round off this year’s top five.
To make the 2013 Deloitte Fast 50, companies had to achieve growth of 161%, while growth of at least 463% was required to make the top 10 on the index.
Companies that made this year’s index grew the New Zealand economy by $267 million in the past three years and created 886 jobs, according to Deloitte’s press release.
