In one mainstream bastion of the fourth estate, Police Minister Judith Collins is bleating about the “stupidity” of a Fairfax stunt involving fake terrorist bombers with fake bombs attending Super 14 games on the weekend.

“They gained access to public areas, the players tunnel and corporate hospitality areas and police attending the event were not advised of these activities," she spluttered to the Royal New Zealand Herald.

“This was incredibly stupid. If anybody had been discovered, this it is likely the games would have been called off.”

While Private Bin is pleased the games weren’t called off, we wonder why Ms Collins was more concerned about the attendance of the fake bombers rather than the inability of the police to detect them.

“It’s very dangerous behaviour,” she added.

Private Bin reckons it would have been slightly more dangerous if they had real bombs.

Training exercise required anyone?
