Older folks more debt-wary than youngsters

People aged 65 years and older are the keenest on the Reserve Bank’s loan-to-value mortgage restrictions.

This is one of the findings of a BNZ consumer trends survey.

Of the 524 responses, 164 said they support the rules, 242 opposed them and 118 were indifferent or had no view.
