BUSINESSDESK: Opus International Consultants, the Wellington-based engineering consultancy, has won a seven-year contract for road management services to Britain’s Hertfordshire County Council, adding about 100 people to its team in Britain.
The contract won by Opus and joint venture partner Arup, another consultancy firm, has the option of a five-year extension, the Wellington-based company said today.
The contract is expected to be confirmed after a 10-day challenge period.
Opus, Arup and the county will work together “to collectively develop, implement and manage technical strategies and programmes for their highway network”, Opus said.
Its shares last traded at $2.15 on the NZX. The stock has climbed 22% in the past six months.
