Whiteware mogul Gary Paykel has been out of the spotlight since bidding farewell to the Fisher & Paykel business – which his father co-founded – in 2012.
Mr Paykel was with the Fisher & Paykel group of companies for 50 years and chairman of medical products manufacturer Fisher & Paykel Healthcare for 10.
Since then, he has been enjoying retirement at his 1012sq m Coromandel Rd property at popular Sandy Bay on Waiheke Island, which he bought at the end of 2016 for $5.2 million, after divesting some of his business interests.
The businessman, who was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2001, also owns a multi-million dollar home in Remuera.
