The Council for Steel Construction New Zealand has elected vice-chairman Mike Sullivan as chairman. Mr Sullivan is managing director of D&H Steel Construction. He replacesChris Kay. Peter Donohueof Steel & Tube Holdings will replace Mr Sullivan as vice-chairman.

Genesis Energy has appointed Andrew Donaldsonchief financial officer. Previously, Mr Donaldson was with Smartpay NZ where he was group chief executive for New Zealand and Australia. He has a background in governance and financial management, with senior roles including chief executive of Brightstar NZ and chief financial officer of Telecom Retail.

Maude & Miller has appointed Daniel Bekeras a senior associate. Mr Beker is a board member of the Porirua Chamber of Commerce and a commercial solicitor. Previously Mr Beker worked as a criminal lawyer in Christchurch, as well as practicing in immigration, family and civil litigation.

The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind has elected three directors: Linda Beck, Neville Bennettand Greg Morgan. Linda Beck has a PhD in law and is a lawyer working with the Canterbury Community Law Centre to set up a Disability Law Service. Dr Bennett, a retired university lecturer and NBRcolumnist, has a PhD from the London School of Economics. He was re-elected. Mr Morgan holds a senior management role in a large public library and has been been involved with the foundation since the 1970s.

Thomas Kohlenbachhas been appointed by Promapp Solutions as principal consultant. Previously Mr Kohlenbach spent five years as project portfolio coordinator and kaizen champion at Toyota Finance New Zealand.

The web-based organisation has also appointed former senior software tester Priyanka Rayas quality assurance analyst and former brand manager Sarah Tavernahas been appointed marketing manager.

Directioneering has appointed Mark Orsonnational business director. Mr Orson previously worked with Right Management as business development director and is an experienced consultant who has worked nationally and abroad.

Realtech Ltd has appointed AndrewSpicerbusiness development manager. Previously, Mr Spicer was large enterprise account manager at SAP in the UK. With over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, Mr Spicer has focused on enterprise solutions for most of his career.

SYL Semantics has appointed Chris Johnstonbusiness development manager. Mr Johnston began his career in telecommunications before moving into the software field. A former New Zealand hockey representative, Mr Johnston has held many senior roles, his most recent with Mastersoft Systems.

John Mohroushas been appointed as a global leader for technology (global leadership role) for FCm, where he already works as chief information officer for the. Mr Mohrous will retain his current responsibilities and also oversee future development and integration of FCm’s global technology platforms. He has more than a decade of experience in the technology industry including experience in technology management, large enterprise and financial services markets.

Impact Project Management has appointed two new members to its Wellington office. Deanne Fleminghas been appointed national administration manager and Chris Reed assistant project manager. Ms Fleming has previously run consulting accounting and administrative services for a number of businesses. Mr Reed will be focusing on the National Library redevelopment.
