New Zealand’s leading statutory trust business, Perpetual Guardian, has appointed Angela Vale as its chief growth officer.
In the newly established role, Ms Vale is responsible for the design and delivery of Perpetual Guardian's strategic approach to business growth and brand positioning and will be a key contributor to the overall customer experience strategy. She is a high-level executive with more than 15 years’ experience leading and building sales and operational teams through transformation and business growth.
Ms Vale most recently worked as head of strategic implementation and prior to that, head of customer retention and growth, at Sovereign, where she led the design and execution of its customer retention strategy and service blueprint for an existing customer base of approximately 650,000. Prior to Sovereign, Ms Vale served as senior branch manager at Kelly New Zealand and senior consultant at Sheffield New Zealand.
She has a bachelor’s degree in applied management, majoring in business transformation and change, from Otago Polytechnic, and has been a certified life coach since 2006.
Ms Vale says she is happy to have joined New Zealand’s leading fiduciary services provider, whose mission is to ensure every New Zealander has a will and every child is protected by one. “Increasingly our society is becoming more diverse, which means now more than ever we should be taking action to safeguard our family networks.
“It begins with having a conversation with your loved ones about your legacy. This can be a difficult conversation to have, but by bringing that fear to the surface we are able to support our clients in the best way possible by educating them on how much it will mean to their family once they are gone. I am proud to be a part of a team who has that at its forefront.”
Perpetual Guardian founder and director Andrew Barnes says he is pleased to have Ms Vale join the business. “With the growth of our business the need to employ top people becomes increasingly important. Angela is a great addition to our experienced team and will be influential in driving the company’s business development and growth.”
