Govt commits $30m lifeline for regional air routes

Concessionary loans and booking system upgrades aim to steady small carriers and keep towns connected.

The Government will throw a $30 million lifeline to fragile regional air links, in the form of concessionary loans through the Regional Infrastructure Fund and technology funding.

Cabinet has also approved funding to help small carriers add interlining. That will let people book a single itinerary
