Easing workforce pressures for horticulture, wine sectors

Horticulture gets a boost with an increase in the number of workers who can come to New Zealand under the RSE scheme.

The Government is increasing the number of workers that can come here under the RSE scheme by 3000 to help the horticulture sector.

It is the largest increase in numbers in more than a decade, with the new Recognised Seasonal Employment Scheme cap allowing up to 19,000 workers to come to New Zealand
