Government boost for trades training at schools
UPDATED: Government responds to business concerns about skills shortages, tweaks school funding.
The Coalition will spend an extra $27.2 million to increase the number of school students in trades training and engaging in work experience.
The extra money will pay for 2000 more Trades Academy places next year and up to 2000 more places in workplace learning programme Gateway. At the moment
