Clothing retailer Postie Plus boosted its profit by 58% in the year to July.
Net profit attributable to shareholders of $656,000 beat the $415,000 reported last year with sales revenue up 1.7% to $115.7 million.
“Our trading year had the distinct promise of a solid year, with Postie yet again making market share gains in a sector that has been flat for the last two years,” chairman Richard Punter said.
However, ongoing economic uncertainty had made consumers more inclined to save rather than spend on personal items like clothing.
Operating profit increased 12.79% to $1.92 million.
Postie shares rose 8.1% on the result announcement.
