The internet news cycle means sites fall over themselves to offer prediction lists ahead of any iPhone or iPad launch.
The frenzy ahead of today's unveiling didn't reach the heights of silliness that preceded the iPhone 4S (remember when it was going to be the teardrop-shaped iPhone 5?).
But how did they do? Now most of the new iPad's features and other elements of today's event are official, The Atlantic ranked several of the more enthusiastic soothsayers
