Hugh Rennie, QC, has stepped down from the board of the BNZ after 13 years.

The bank announced his retirement from the 10-member board this afternoon.

A commercial and public law barrister, Mr Rennie was appointed as an independent non-executive director in 1997.

Mr Rennie is currently chairman of M-Co International and The Lifeline Auckland Endowment Trust, and is on the board of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
