Paint maker Resene has been awarded top honours at the National Sustainable Business Network Awards in Auckland last night.

The company was also reducing its waste, had introduced a renewable component in one of its products, and collects and recycles unused paint and other waste.
As well as Business of the Year, the Wellington-based company was also placed first in the large and corporate section.
Hamilton-based Pinnacle Underlay and Christchurch-based Serra Natural Foods won the small and medium business awards, while Whakatane-based Energy Options took out the not-for-profit award.
