Infrastructure specialist Delta has appointed Richard King to the company’s executive leadership team as general manager environmental services.
Richard King joined Delta in 2001 and was most recently its business manager, environmental. As general manager environmental services, Richard will lead Delta’s environmental services business, including parks and reserves, tree services and solid waste management, providing services to local government and private sector customers.
Delta chief executive, Grady Cameron says, “Richard has been critical to Delta’s growth in the green space and solid waste sectors, the most recent example being winning a multimillion dollar contract with Christchurch City Council for parks services. He has the passion and experience to continue to drive our success in environmental services with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
“He brings 30 years’ experience in environmental services primarily in the amenity horticulture and turf industry, and will lead a highly skilled team of up to 200 people at peak, across nine locations throughout the South Island.”
Delta’s executive leadership team comprises chief executive, Grady Cameron, chief financial officer Gary Dixon, general manager energy and communication Kewal Bagal, general manager asset management Derek Todd, general manager capability and risk Matt Ballard, and general manager environmental services Richard King.
