Heinz Wattie’s hopes a pending free trade deal with Russia will open the door further to its exports of canned produce.

Last week, the company shipped its first canned vegetable exports to Russia.

Canned peas from Canterbury and corn from the Hawke’s Bay will be sold under the Heinz
