S&P says global slowdown may justify delaying return to surplus

Ratings agency Standard and Poor's is sounding a warning about New Zealand's position as another wave of Greece-generated jitters sweeps the globe.

The agency will be reviewing the country's sovereign credit rating after next week's Budget is delivered Finance Minister Bill English.
