This is a supplied media release.

Scott Lunny, formerly at leading New Zealand listed company Argosy Property Limited, has been appointed chief financial officer at Smales Farm.

The appointment comes at an opportune time as the company undergoes an exciting transformational shift driven largely by growing acclaim for its development of Smales Farm’s new 65,000sqm business and lifestyle precinct and innovative B:HIVE building.

Lunny will play an integral role in developing and implementing financial and operational strategies to assist the growing team at Smales Farm as it drives the vision of creating a world-class innovative, sustainable and interactive urban community on the Smales Farm site.

Beginning his appointment with Smales Farm on July 3, Lunny brings more than 19-years’ experience in the banking managed funds and property industries, with considerable expertise in all aspects of financial reporting, treasury, tax management and investor relations.

“Having been raised and educated on the North Shore, I’m looking forward to contributing to the vision, continued growth and development of the Smales Farm business and the benefits that this will bring to the region. I am really looking forward to working with Paul and the Smales Farm team”, he says.

Smales Farm CEO Paul Gunn says that Lunny brings new thinking to the future development of the business, alongside his extensive industry experience making him the perfect candidate for the role.

“Both the Board and I are very excited to have the opportunity to work alongside Mr Lunny who will bring a depth of experience from the listed property sector”, he says.

Having spent several years in the finance team at Argosy Property Limited, Lunny was appointed Argosy’s inaugural investor relations manager in 2013, responsible for the company’s significantly improved communications and stakeholder management.

Previous to his property career, Lunny worked as a chartered accountant and has a Bachelor of Business Studies degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Administration, majoring in Finance from Massey University.
