Screen industry revenue up 2%
Gross revenue for the screen industry in this country grew 2 percent from a year earlier to $2.87 billion in the 2009/10 year, Statistics New Zealand says.
Gross revenue for the screen industry in this country grew 2 percent from a year earlier to $2.87 billion in the 2009/10 year, Statistics New Zealand says.
Post-production revenue rose 21 percent to $584 million, while production revenue dropped 9 percent to $783 million, the second fall in two years.
Distribution was up 14 percent to $186m, television broadcasting was up 2 percent to $1.17b, and film exhibition was flat at $153m.
