Snowball Effect is proud to introduce Bill O'Boyle as Head of Growth Capital. Bill is responsible for working with companies throughout the capital raising process. He comes to Snowball Effect from a background in corporate finance including experience in banking, finance and capital raising.

Bill is a former banker with experience working across a diverse range of industries in New Zealand and abroad. He started his career in BNZ’s Institutional banking team, before moving to London where he worked in the Capital Markets team at the Royal Bank of Canada, with responsibility for clients in Europe and Australia.

Bill has a strong interest in fintech and its potential to improve the financial services industry. He has written broadly on the topics of blockchain and digital currency. Bill is also involved in a private aquarium development business in South East Asia and is passionate about helping Kiwi businesses reach their global aspirations.

Snowball Effect CEO Simeon Burnett said: "We are seeing increasing interest from young growth companies who wish to raise expansion capital either publicly or through private placements. Bill’s background in working with established, but high-growth companies, make him ideal for this role”.

Bill takes up the mantle from Shaun Edlin who has recently moved to Dotterel as their Chief Operating Officer. Shaun is still involved in Snowball Effect as an advisor. The Snowball team said: “Shaun was a key part of the growth of Snowball Effect in the early days and we’re glad to see him stepping into a role with a promising young Kiwi high-tech company that we’re proud to have raised capital for.”
