A multimillion dollar loan to Fonterra director Colin Armer is at the heart of one of the 21 charges laid in the Timaru District Court alleging $1.7 billion of fraud at South Canterbury Finance.

Mr Armer is not one of the five individuals charged, all of whom were this week granted interim
