Three University of Auckland students walked into a meeting with Rocket Lab CEO Peter Beck carrying plastic rubbish bags, a bike pump and a car battery. Some two years later, the students have $500,000 in funding led by deep tech venture fund Outset Ventures and a slot to send their prototype power
