Bank credit rationing a likely response to RBNZ plan, analyst says

New Zealand’s Australian-owned banks may consider rationing credit under Reserve Bank proposals to increase minimum capital requirements, an Australian analyst says.

On December 14 the central bank published a consultation paper on bank capital recommending minimum tier one capital be raised
