Brierley 'didn't know images were illegal', his lawyer argues

Lawyer pleads for community sentence for ailing former knight.

Disgraced former corporate raider Ron Brierley did not understand that possessing child sex abuse images was wrong, his lawyer has told a Sydney court.

Brierley is due to be sentenced after pleading guilty in April to three charges of possessing the offensive material.
