Fonterra appoints Miles Hurrell as interim CEO

Fonterra’s board has decided to stop a global CEO search amid a review of the co-operative’s current portfolio and direction.

Fonterra has named 43-year-old Christchurch-born Miles Hurrell as interim chief executive to take over from Theo Spierings until a permanent replacement is found.

Mr Hurrell is chief operating officer of Farm Source, the unit responsible for working with Fonterra’s farmer-owners.
