Fonterra cuts milk price forecast

Farmers warned to budget carefully as global supply exceeds demand.

Dairy giant Fonterra has lowered its milk price forecast for the 2018/19 season to between $6.25 and $6.50 a kg of milk solids.

The cut follows Fonterra’s announcement just one month ago of a $6.75 forecast.
