Petrol, rents push June quarter inflation to 0.6%
The overall CPI remained within the Reserve Bank’s 1-3% target.

The consumers price index (CPI) rose 0.6% in the June quarter in line with economists’ forecasts and boosted annual inflation from 1.5% in the March year to 1.7%.
Stats NZ said the increase was due to higher prices for petrol and rent.
Petrol prices rose 5.8% in the quarter after a 7.0%
