United's shock for Boeing, Ryanair cuts back

United chooses Airbus
United Airlines struck another blow to Boeing with a deal to buy 50 single-aisled Airbus A321XLRs to replace its fleet of B757-200s. The deal is worth $US7.1 billion at list prices.

Deliveries will begin in 2024 and they will be used to fly from United’s hubs at Newark
