This is a supplied media release.

Sudima Hotels and Resorts has appointed Dzin Alekzander as marketing and communications manager and Dipika Patel as digital marketing manager.

Mr Alekzander is no stranger to the tourism industry, joining Sudima after six years as marketing manager at Ateed (Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development). In his role at Ateed he achieved numerous milestones, including the implementation of highly successful domestic and international tourism and event programmes such as the award winning ‘AKL – The Show Never Stops’ domestic tourism campaign and destination leverage programmes for a number of major events including the Cricket World Cup, Lions, World Masters Games and the NRL Auckland Nines.

Prior to this, Mr Alekzander was marketing manager for Ngāi Tahu Tourism, where he was responsible for the brand re-fresh of one of Queenstown’s biggest tourist attractions, Shotover Jet.

“Sudima Hotels & Resorts is somewhat a quiet achiever, yet setting industry benchmarks and championing career paths for young achievers and supporting the communities in which each hotel operates in,” he says. “The team culture is outstanding: Not only is everyone passionate about the future of this company, but they treat one another and their guests like family. I’m looking forward to applying my experience to the exciting projects Sudima has in the pipeline for 2018.”

Mr Alekzander is joined by Dipika Patel as digital marketing manager, who previously managed the brand and digital transformation for Bupa New Zealand. Ms Patel, who has a breadth of experience in SEO, online content and website development, will lead Sudima’s digital strategy within the marketing department.

Michel Adolphe, Sudima’s director of sales and marketing, is delighted to welcome them on board.

“Both Dzin and Dipika have impressive track records and will be valuable assets to our team. Dzin’s background gives him great knowledge of what it takes for a business in the New Zealand tourism market to succeed. We feel privileged to have him on board, he understands our industry through and through. Dipika’s extensive digital experience will prove vital as we move to solidify our place in the market and continue our industry leadership,” says Mr Adolphe.
