Summerset Group Holdings Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Gráinne Troute to the Board of Directors.
Ms Troute is currently a director of Tourism Holdings Limited and is General Manager Corporate Services at SKYCITY Entertainment Group, where she has been for 8 years. Ms Troute was previously at McDonald’s Restaurants NZ for 14 years in senior executive roles, the last 3 of which she was the Managing Director for New Zealand.
Summerset Chairman Rob Campbell said Ms Troute brings a wealth of experience to the Summerset board. “Gráinne’s expertise in operating customer-focused businesses in highly competitive sectors will be very beneficial for Summerset and we look forward to her contribution.”
Ms Troute said, “I’m looking forward to joining the Summerset Board and being able to share my skills with a growing New Zealand company, and making the transition into a full-time governance career.”
The appointment brings the Board of Directors back to five members, following the retirement of Norah Barlow in April this year. It is the Board’s intention to appoint one further director with Chairman Rob Campbell saying “The Board has a strong mix of experience and skills but we are continuing to seek to add another Board member who can add experience from the aged care, retirement village and hospital sectors.”
Ms Troute joins the Board as a non-executive independent director on 1 September 2016.
