Suncorp New Zealand today announced the appointment of Tim Buckett to the role of CFO.
Suncorp New Zealand today announced the appointment of Tim Buckett to the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 July.
His appointment follows the decision by Peter Brown to retire as CFO at the end of the financial year.
"Tim has been working at Suncorp for more than nine years, most recently as Executive General Manager, Group Strategy and Corporate Development in the Group CFO team," said Suncorp New Zealand CEO Paul Smeaton.
Mr Buckett joined Suncorp in April 2007, closely following the announcement of the Promina acquisition and has worked in a number of positions including nearly five years as EGM Customer Development for Suncorp Bank.
"As CFO, Tim will manage all actuarial, financial management, strategy, business performance management and procurement for Suncorp New Zealand," said Mr Smeaton.
"I look forward to Tim joining the Suncorp New Zealand business, which provides general insurance and life insurance to New Zealanders through its well-known brands, Vero Insurance, Asteron Life, and AA Life.
"I would also like to recognise the immense contribution of Peter Brown to Suncorp over the past 35 years."
