When Whangaroa Ngaiotonga Trust brought its far north 1100-hectare coastal farm back under iwi control in 2020, the whenua had endured decades of debt, disputes, and disconnection. Less than five years later, that same block in Whangaruru is home to a thriving 1200-head bull-fattening enterprise
