Water storage opens the tap on Kaipara growth

A new 3.3 million cubic metre reservoir south of Dargaville is set to shift land into higher-value horticulture and firm up local water security.

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Regional Development Minister Shane Jones cut the ribbon today on Te Waihekeora Reservoir, a 3.3 million cubic metre lake south of Dargaville that promises to change the way Kaipara grows food and manages water.
