Apple Music, Spotify boost NZ music revenue figures

Streaming services have fundamentally changed the way Kiwis access and engage with music.

The local recorded music industry has reported a fourth straight year of revenue growth driven by global streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify.

For 2018, revenues increased 7.7% to $107.9 million, with streaming accounting for 69%, or $74.2m, of all recorded music revenue.
