TelstraClear new million dollar partner of Royal New Zealand Ballet
TelstraClear is the Royal New Zealand ballet's new National Sponsor in a million dollar, three and a half year partnership.
TelstraClear will be the Royal New Zealand Ballet's National Sponsor in a million dollar deal starting July 2012.
The company replaces Meridian after 12 years of sponsorship in June 2012, in a three and a half year partnership valued at more than one million dollars.
TelstraClear chief executive Allan Freeth said the sponsorship was a perfect 'pas de deux' between two like-minded companies which both delivered exceptional services and experiences.
"TelstraClear is very excited at the opportunity this partnership with Royal New Zealand Ballet represents. While our primary role is to connect people, at TelstraClear we like to do this in ways that make their lives better, richer and more productive. With these values in mind, working alongside RNZB is a natural partnership for us."
Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage Christopher Finlayson said the sponsorship would allow RNZB to reach new heights.
"Our national ballet company is riding a wave of success following their recent UK tour and TelstraClear's sponsorship will give them security going forward, both on the national and international stage - it is a great example to set for the corporate sector. I am delighted TelstraClear have made this significant commitment to arts in New Zealand."
RNZB managing director Amanda Skoog said securing a new national sponsor in the current economic climate was a huge boost for RNZB.
"There's no denying it's a tough time to seek corporate sponsorship. TelstraClear has the foresight to see the ways in whcih all New Zealanders can benefit from such an opportunity. We think our new partnership is a perfect match. At the end of the day we too are all about communicating with our audiences and we both aim to deliver performances that are of the highest quality to our customers."
Meridian would continue as a Season Sponsor of the RNZB, a release from RNZB said.
