Award-winning architecture and masterplanning practice Construkt has appointed three new staff, bringing the headcount to 16.
Construkt director David Gibbs says demand for architectural expertise in the property and construction sector continues to be strong, buoyed by the rebuild of Christchurch and a fast-growing Auckland.
“We’re well-placed to take advantage of new opportunities, particularly in Auckland where the Proposed Auckland Unitary Plan and Special Housing Areas are big drivers of growth for us,” says Mr Gibbs. “The Construkt team has capabilities spanning masterplanning, urban design and architecture, with particular expertise in the medium residential market; the new appointments complement our existing team.”
Details of the appointments are:
Newly appointed architect Dan Branda completed a Master of Architecture as well a Master in City Planning and Landscaping from the University of Timisoara, Romania. He is a registered architect with seven years’ experience working on projects across New Zealand and Romania. Dan specialises in residential to medium-density housing, and commercial buildings. He also brings to the team a keen interest in masterplanning and 3D modelling.
Architectural designer Miles Healey has five years’ experience working on various medium- to high-density residential projects in Melbourne. He is passionate about designing quality, functional, sustainable and affordable housing.
Architectural graduate Katie Skudder has over three years’ experience in detailed architectural design and documentation. Katie specialises in design quality for new residential developments and has worked on a number of high-end residential designs.
