In NBR Print today: A lawsuit over a complex and long-winded Christchurch property development site is still in train despite the land being sold. Sally Lindsay reports the Yaldhurst property has had a string of hold-ups and been mired in litigation for years involving Apple Fields, Noble Investments, Gold Band Finance and Dunedin City Council-owned Delta Utilities.

Over the past five years, ANZ Bank was the clear winner in the mortgage market, although the government’s Kiwibank was also a keen competitor right up until early last year when it suddenly stopped increasing market share. Jenny Ruth looks at how the landscape has changed over the past few years.

Jon Lowy knew he’d stumbled across something big when he unearthed the technology behind RipeTime, a startup hoping to revolutionise management of the global fruit supply chain. “It was a crack through which I saw light,” the Auckland-based serial entrepreneur says when asked how he found what could be a potential Holy Grail for fruit growers. Duncan Bridgeman reports.

The largest quarterly reporting season has now wrapped up, with companies performing in line with expectations. “The sharemarket overall has just come off the top a little bit. Leading into the reporting season investors had very high expectations and now they have decided to take some profits off the table,” Hamilton Hindin Greene chief executive Grant Williamson tells Calida Smylie.
