TVNZ not threatened by RNZ Plus

RNZ Plus will not be a television station, select committee told.

RNZ chief executive Paul Thompson is adamant the public broadcaster will not turn itself into a television station.

Under the government’s proposal for RNZ Plus it is expected to get an extra $38 million a year to provide what the Labour Party initially referred to as a linear television
