Twitter jabs back at Instagram with own photo filters
How to get them; explainer: how they work.
Last week Instagram (now owned by Facebook) pulled support for directly sharing photos via Twitter.
Now Twitter has struck back, releasing (as long expected) its own photo filters.
The Twitter photo filters ape Instagram’s trademark vintage look, but seem blunter. One NZ user described them as “blue cellophane, red cellophane, dirty cellophane …”
One notable difference is that photos can be resized to a trademark Polaroid Instagram square, or leave them at their original width.
To access the filters, download the latest version of Twitter’s iPhone or Android app then hit the camera icon (see the explainer video below for more).
