Private Bin was pleased to see generational stereotypes undermined at a select committee meeting in Wellington recently.
The commerce select committee was in session to hear submissions on the proposed Copyright (Infringing File Sharing) Amendment Bill, designed to curb illegal internet downloads.
Conversation turned to the “kids” and how next generation internet use (Facebook, Twitter etc) was leaving many, including some members of the committee, feeling a bit out of the loop.
This was clearly not a problem shared by the grey-haired, well-suited gentleman seated to Private Bin’s left.
Seated with a tiny white PC on his lap, the gentleman tweeted, emailed, and checked blog posts – all while keeping one ear tuned in on the committee session.
